As of today, there is a change affecting our deliveries to the EU – please take note:  From 1 July 2021, the EU’s new VAT reform will come into effect. Under this reform, the EU has decided that for cross-border sales, VAT must be paid in the buyer’s country – no longer, as was previously the case, where the trader is based or where the goods were purchased, i.e. here in Germany. This means that invoices must also be issued with the applicable VAT rates of the respective country (each country has different VAT rates, including reduced rates) – which naturally also entails an adjustment (and in some cases an increase) in prices. 

Furthermore, as an online retailer, we have to deal with the tax regulations of all EU countries and must – or rather, should – keep up to date at all times. Added to this is the enormous amount of follow-up work involved in terms of bookkeeping, tax payments and so on. All these points unfortunately lead us to the conclusion that, as a family business, we cannot cope with this. It is simply not feasible due to the enormous increase in workload. 

For this reason, and with a heavy heart, we have decided to offer and dispatch our products only within Germany from now on. This was not an easy decision for us, particularly as we have built up a large number of regular customers across the EU. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank you for the loyalty you have shown us to date and, above all, ask for your understanding regarding this decision.
